Two new planets have been discovered in the star system Kepler-36 locked in close orbit. One is like Jupiter and one is a rocky Earth-like planet. The close orbit of two very differently composed planets shakes up a lot of what we think about how star systems work and how planets are formed. It also shakes up what we know about dragons and invasive thread that burns the ground below it.
